Fly4Fun GmbH, Gässli 5, 7307 Jenins, Switzerland. For privacy questions, contact us at datenschutz@fly4fun-ragaz.ch.
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we comply with it as well.
The website runs on our own server, which we operate ourselves; the data centre is located in Germany, a country with adequate data protection under Swiss law. When you open a page, your browser sends technically necessary information: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the page you came from, and your browser and operating system. The server records this in log files to keep the service running and to detect abuse. We do not use it for any other purpose and keep it only as long as necessary for this.
The connection is encrypted with TLS (https).
This website sets no cookies. Fonts, images and scripts are served from our own server; offers, prices, sample vouchers and the voucher shop come from the Aviation Helper (next paragraph). We do not use Google Analytics, Google Fonts, Google Maps, reCAPTCHA or social media plugins. We do not embed Instagram either.
Links to Instagram, lsze.ch or the Aviation Helper only take you to these providers when you click them. Their privacy policies apply there.
Your browser loads offers, prices and the sample vouchers directly from the Aviation Helper (app.aviation-helper.com), the software we use to run our flight operations, when you open a page. Its server sees your IP address, as with any page request. No cookies or account are involved.
When you open the route of a voucher via the QR code «Your route», your browser uses the code’s identifier to ask the Aviation Helper for the status of your flight: date, pilot, aircraft and whom to contact. The pilot’s phone and email only appear with their consent, otherwise ours. The identifier sits after the «#» of the address and never reaches our server. Anyone who has the voucher or a photo of the QR code sees this status; the page never shows an amount or payment details.
The map and the list of places for planning your own route on the sightseeing page are also served from our server. Planning runs only in your browser: we do not learn which places you type. Only when you choose «Give this flight as a gift» does the route go to the voucher shop as the preferred route with your order. A shared link contains the chosen places in its address.
To see which pages are read, we count visits with Umami, a statistics tool that we run ourselves on our server. Umami sets no cookies and does not recognise you across days or devices. It records the page viewed, the referring page, browser, operating system, device type and the approximate country; your IP address is used only briefly for this and is not stored. If you have enabled «Do Not Track» in your browser, we do not count you.
The statistics stay on our server and are deleted after 25 months.
The landing trainer under «Training tools» runs entirely in your browser and loads nothing from other providers. It asks for your name only if you like and shows it only in the menu and the debriefing. The name stays in the open browser tab and is gone as soon as you close it; it is neither stored nor sent to us, and neither are your results.
The access statistics (above) count when an approach starts and how it ends: stage, exercise, result and grade, without your name.
The forms for trial flights, flight school, charter and contact send your details directly to the Aviation Helper (app.aviation-helper.com), the software we use to run our flight operations. The Aviation Helper processes the data on our behalf and only for us.
We receive what you enter in the form: name, email, phone, your address if you provide it, your message and your answers (for example licence or availability). We need these details to answer your enquiry and create a contact record for this purpose. We delete completed enquiries after 12 months at the latest, unless they lead to an assignment such as training.
ALTCHA protects against automated spam: your browser solves a small calculation, without cookies and without third parties. To limit abuse, the Aviation Helper briefly checks the sender address (IP) and the number of enquiries per email address.
You order vouchers in Fly4Fun’s voucher shop, which is embedded on this website and delivered by the Aviation Helper. For this we need your name, your address (for the QR bill and delivery by post), your email address and phone number, the name on the voucher and any wishes such as the preferred route. For the boarding pass preview, the shop sends the name on the voucher to the Aviation Helper; it is not stored for this.
We use these details to issue the voucher and the QR bill and to deliver the voucher to you. When you pay the QR bill, our bank passes on the payment with the reference of the bill. We keep issued vouchers and invoices for ten years for accounting reasons (Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations); paid orders are deleted ten years after the end of the year in which they were paid. Rejected or never-paid orders are deleted after 12 months.
If you book a flight directly or arrange a date for a voucher, we also need your preferred dates, the number of passengers, the approximate weight for flight planning and, if you pay by invoice, your address. The pilot who takes on your flight sees these details.
Once the date is fixed, we send you an email with the date, time, meeting point and a calendar file. It contains the name of your pilot and, if they have agreed to it, their phone number and email address; otherwise our contact. To reschedule or cancel, please get in touch there directly. Every email contains a personal link to the status of your order or booking: anyone who has the link can see this status, so please do not pass it on.
Completed bookings are deleted after 12 months. What we need to invoice the flight is kept for ten years, like invoices.
If you call or write to us, we only use your details to deal with your request.
We do not sell data and only pass it on where necessary for your enquiry or order, for example to Swiss Post to send a voucher or to our bank for incoming payments, or where the law requires us to.
You can ask at any time which data we process about you, and have it corrected, handed over or deleted, unless we are legally required to keep it. Write to datenschutz@fly4fun-ragaz.ch. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
We update this policy when something changes on our website or in how we process data. The version on this page applies.
